This Weekend..

Here are some random pictures of Olivia. Hope to be able to put some new ones of Matthew on very soon.

First Sleepover at Grandma's

I couldn't believe it when Katressa said that I could keep Olivia a week ago Saturday night and keep her all day on Sunday. We had a great time.. I gave her a bath and then a bottle and she was down for the night by 9:30. The first time that she woke up was around 5:30, I think that we done real well. I love keeping her any time that I can. I hope that we will have MANY more sleepovers at Grandma's maybe even with cousin Matthew..

Niece

I didn't even get to tell about the BEST part of my trip down memory lane. We were finally able to make connection with my dear little niece Chastity. Five years can make a difference in a person. It was so good to be able to see her and visit with her for a little while. She thought that her Grandpa Thompson was handsome and she told him so and I think Dad blushed... She works in a little grocery store there in town. She seems to be doing well for her self. She is 34 which does not even seem possible. She has a little apartment that she shares with Ginger her dog. I think if her Mother was alive to see her she would be proud. I just wanted to share some pictures of her.

Memory Lane

I went back to my old hometown to take a trip down memory lane, keeping in mind that the last trip there was over 5 years ago, I decided that I should do this before any more major changes happens.. It was a day of many emotions. My sister Marsha took Mom & I around to see the sights. We went by the neighborhood store (which was called Jimmy's Store) that we would walk to to get things for Mom or maybe a RC cola and a bag of BQ chips. I remember this store exactly as it was inside, once I was in this store and Mom was out in the car I had to go and ask her again what it was that I was suppose to get for her and she said "Young lady what do you have in your mouth? Of course being a kid I said nothing, but SHE KNEW that I did, so I finally told her that I had a tootsy roll in my mouth, well she marched me into the store and made me tell Jimmy that I had stolen a piece of candy and made me pay for it. Needless to say I never forgot that lesson.

We also drove by our old house. It was sad to see it so run down. Mom always had flowers and it looked nice even though it was small. The car port where I learned how to roller skate and use my stilks. Moms porch swing was in there also. I remember my old bedroom that I inherited after Diane & Marsha got married. I still remember where the tractor tire was that was our sandbox and then later a flower bed for Mom, where my little playhouse use to stand, Daddy tore it down when he built the garage. I remember so many things there. The mailbox is still the same. It was nice to see it all one more time.

We went by the old church which was damamged by a fire and also one of our favorite places to eat when we go to Washington, the White Steamer which has by far the best hambuger that you will ever eat. Our other favorite place was Masons Rootbeer Stand. Once in while Mom & Dad would load us up in the family car on a payday and we would go to the rootbeer stand and we were allowed to get a footlong coney dog and a frosted rootbeer in a mug. Man that was living. I hope I won't forget these things but I'm sure in time I will but it was sure nice to go and visit memory lane.
